Red Bank Middle School

Leah Fuller

Hello!
My name is Leah Fuller, and I have been teaching Chorus at Ooltewah Middle School for 1 year, and with HCS for 10 years. I am looking forward to many more with the students here as we build a great Chorus Program together.
I have been the Vocal Music Department Chair for Hamilton County Schools for 5 years, and get to help with district music events and help train other music teachers. Before coming to OMS, I taught at Red Bank Middle School for 5 years, and I started my teaching in Hamilton County at Alpine Crest Elementary School. As an itinerant elementary teacher, I also had the opportunity to teach at Middle Valley Elementary and Wallace A. Smith Elementary.
Chorus at OMS is fun because you learn a great variety of music while learning proper singing technique, music history, music reading, and how to perform onstage confidently.  You also learn great character traits and build skills like teamwork, perseverance, self-discipline and responsibility, creativity, and communication. All these things help you to be successful in every area of life!
My three Classroom Expectations are 1)Be Present, 2)Be, Ready, 3)Be Respectful and Accountable With Everyone, Everywhere, Every Time. That is accomplished by following my three Classroom Rules: 1)Do Participate, 2)Do Sing YOUR Best 3) Do Use Materials And Space Correctly and Respectfully. These are my "DO-BE-DO'S!
Chorus is a year-long Related Arts class, performs one concert each semester, and tries to have at least 1 school day field trip per semester. There are some other performance opportunities outside of school that are offered for extra credit.
Chorus, Band and Athletic Events are scheduled so that students can participate in anything they are interested in. Email me for more information. I'd love to have you in Chorus!
